Job description

1. Project manage the delivery of the Knowledge Transfer Partnership work plan (with extensive support from both company and academic supervisors), which includes the following stages(A-M):

A. A.V. Dawson Limited Business Model Familiarisation & Digital Audit
B. Technology / Methodology Familiarisation
C. Data collection process review and small scale IoT demonstrator / PoC delivery
D. Data Infrastructure Design and IoT/Telematics Integration
E. Data Ingestion, Integration, Cleaning and Exploratory Data Analysis
F. Machine Learning (ML) & Predictive Analytics development and implementation within pilot area
G. Digital Twin simulations for pilot area including real-time data integration, scenario modelling, and stakeholder-validated simulations
H. Develop a reflection engine to compare predicted vs actual outcomes and generate real-time alerts.
I. Dashboards to visualise Digital Twin simulations and also enable real-time alerts and recommendations for actions against pre-set parameters
J. Scale up of pilot implementation of ML, Predictive Analytics and Digital Twin applications.
K. Testing, validation, training and embedding activity
L. Support to commercialisation team and marketing strategy, attend industry events, and contribute to contract acquisition in renewable and logistics sectors.
M. Collaboration with academic team to support research and teaching outputs.

2. Contribute to KTP evaluation and final reports
3. Adhere to the University’s & A.V. Dawson’s Health and Safety Policy and guidelines.
4. Adhere to the General Data Protection and The Data Protection Act 2018.
5. Promote Equality and Diversity for staff and students and embrace the University’s Values and Behaviours Framework.

Dawson Group and the Port of Middlesbrough as a leader in smart port technology within the rapidly evolving Teesside Freeport ecosystem
