Business Manager (KTP Associate for Strategic Business & Investment)

Royal Holloway Business School is recruiting a Business Manager (KTP Associate) to lead a 24‑month Knowledge Transfer Partnership with a rapidly growing 5G network software company. In this strategic role, you will bridge academic expertise and industry innovation to strengthen the company’s investment readiness, strategic management, and business development capacity.

Candidates should have at least two years of experience in finance or technology, including direct involvement in the venture capital fundraising process, as well as knowledge of 5G technology and its commercial applications. Strong communication skills and a relevant degree are essential; an MBA or Master’s degree is desirable. The role is primarily based in Bristol with occasional travel to the university campus in Egham, Surrey and offers extensive training, generous leave, and a competitive pension scheme.

As a full-time University employee embedded within the business partner, you will design and implement strategies to secure venture capital and institutional funding, drive new business development across government and private sectors, and enhance internal planning and management processes. You will act as a key liaison between the company’s technical teams and the investment community.
