Challenge
How can you bring together AI, dairy farming, cattle welfare, and carbon emissions reduction in one transformative solution? The need for innovation in the agricultural sector has never been greater, as the industry faces increasing pressure to improve sustainability, animal welfare, and operational efficiency.
Outcome
CattleEye has done exactly that through a groundbreaking Knowledge Transfer Partnership (KTP) project. This collaboration demonstrates the power of combining cutting-edge technology with industry expertise to address some of the sector’s most pressing challenges.
The partnership with Innovate UK provided CattleEye with the structure and academic collaboration necessary to scale their AI-driven solutions and expand into new markets. By leveraging AI and RFID technology, they developed a pioneering system that not only enhances cattle welfare by monitoring health and behaviour but also plays a significant role in reducing carbon emissions by optimising farming practices.
Impact
This innovative approach led to CattleEye’s expansion into 15 new international markets, earning global recognition for their contribution to sustainable agriculture. The results speak for themselves: CattleEye achieved up to a 20x revenue increase since the project launch and positioned themselves as leaders in the tech-driven agri-tech space.
Today, CattleEye is proud to advocate for the KTP programme, recognising the immense value it provides to businesses tackling complex problems with ambitious goals. They recommend KTP to any company looking to innovate, scale, and make a meaningful impact in their field.
