Job description
1. Co-ordinate and undertake the day-to-day development and deployment of the AI-driven triaging and service user gateway, under the supervision of the Business and Knowledge Base Supervisors and the project steering group.
2. Work closely with the Computing Associate to integrate clinical insights and user requirements into the AI system, ensuring alignment with mental health professionals’ and service user needs.
3. Lead on project governance, including ethical approval, data collection and management, client consent and record keeping, and compliance with appropriate industry and legislative guidelines.
4. Collaborate with the Computing Associate and SAMH senior stakeholders to define evaluation metrics, and refine recommendations based on real-world case scenarios.
5. Collect, process and analyse evaluative data in the process of developing, testing and evaluating the AI-driven triaging and service user gateway.
6. Evaluate system performance in collaboration with the Computing Associate, applying metrics, user testing and stakeholder feedback to interactively improve functionality and service user experience.
7. Manage and undertake reporting to the steering group, funders and key stakeholders, ensuring a timely submission of project deliverables and reports in required formats.
8. Facilitate effective communication between psychology and computing teams, ensuring that solutions are explainable, interpretable, and trusted by both the public and mental health practitioners.
9. Support knowledge transfer by delivering training and creating guidance to SAMH on psychologically-informed system useage, data evaluation and long-term sustainability.
10. Represent the project at internal and external events, including conferences, stakeholder meetings, knowledge exchange initiatives and industry events.
11. Any other duties appropriate to the role as directed by supervisors and project management teams.
Project description
To embed capability in clinical oversight principles and procedures in digital mental health tools, AI tool development and improvement, and data analytics for SAMH, to develop a psychologically-informed, artificial-intelligence driven service user gateway to support SAMH’s place-based and online mental health services.
