Job description
This is an exciting opportunity to work in a collaborative partnership between the University of the West of England (UWE) and Service Robotics Limited (SRL) under the UK Government sponsored Knowledge Transfer Partnership (KTP) programme. The position is a 24-month fixed term contract, which includes business skills training provided by the national KTP programme and a further £2k per annum dedicated training budget tailored towards your personal development.
About you:
* You have a background in (or very familiar with) AI, ML, Deep Learning (DL) and Large Language Model (LLM)
* Programming skills and experience working with some DL platform/libraries, e.g., PyTorch TensorFlow, Keras, or similar
* You can interpret complex data sets
* Able to think logically and develop creative approaches to problem solving
* Communicate effectively and work well within a team

Project description
With specialist support from the College of Arts, Technology and Engineering academic team and the College of Health, Science and Society at UWE Bristol, you will lead on a 24-month project where you will evolve and extend the capabilities of SRL’s GenieConnect® robot companion technology, to incorporate proactive AI-led personalised services and care, automated recommendations, and anomaly detection. The project aims to improve efficiencies of social care delivery, reduce demand on carers, reduce digital exclusion and improve care outcomes.
