Job description

This role is ideal for a motivated graduate in Engineering, Science, or IT who is eager to apply their skills to real-world challenges and contribute to the company’s ambitious growth plans.

This innovative project focuses on leveraging advanced digital twin technology to transform the performance of bespoke recycling plants. By optimizing plant design and enhancing manufacturing efficiency, the successful candidate will play a pivotal role in driving sustainable solutions and meeting customer demand for exceptional material purity.

Employed and supported by a team of academic experts from the University, you will be based at Kiverco in Dungannon, Co. Tyrone.

As a KTP Associate, you will lead on the delivery of the following key project stages:

• Stage 1: Project Exploration, Technology Review and Scoping.
• Stage 2: Software and Hardware Evaluation and Selection.
• Stage 3: Detailed Planning for Pilot Implementation and Testing.
• Stage 4: Full-scale Implementation.
• Stage 5: Post-Implementation Review and Optimisation.

About the person:

The successful candidate must have, and your application should clearly demonstrate that you meet the following criteria:

Hold a university degree in an Engineering/Science/IT discipline, with Mechanical / Manufacturing / Electrical / Electronics, or Computer Science
Significant experience in problem-solving and delivering innovative solutions, which may include academic projects, placements, or previous employment
Relevant experience with digital tools such as CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks), data analysis platforms, and/or ERP/MRP systems.
Strong knowledge of digital technologies and automation systems.
Practical understanding of process mapping, systems integration, and risk management in engineering projects.
Experience in the specified areas may be evidenced through:
Completion of a module, academic research project, or student placement.*
Practical work conducted during employment or internships.*
