Job description
Main purpose of the job:
- To work in collaboration with Police and Academic Supervisors to successfully deliver the following KTP Project: Develop and embed digital twins to improve police operational and management decision making.
- To actively contribute to the University of Exeter’s research through applying latest thinking to organisational challenges
- To transfer the latest academic thinking relative to the project into the police partner.
Project description
The KTP associate will embed and develop within Devon and Cornwall Police:
- A Digital Twin methodology to enable different resource allocations to be trialled and optimised before being implemented.
- New tools and training materials to guide a step change in strategic management decision making.
- A culture change, and new confidence among decision makers to support managers in using digital twins for decision making.
An early use case in this project be intervening in the trajectories of high-harm perpetrators with a view to reducing violence against women and girls.
