Job description
Working closely with the Engineering, Operations and Digital teams within SAFRAN NACELLES you will be required to gain a good understanding of existing production processes and product flows. This will enable simulation of these processes using data from SAFRAN’s MRP (SAP) and MES systems. Creating links to enable real time data from machines and manufacturing data, these automated data routines will increase simulation accuracy. Following on form a successful pilot project this project will provide a springboard to allow SAFRAN to expand DES to other areas of the business.
Project description
This project aims to use advanced simulation and digital technology to optimise the SAFRAN production system, enabling performance improvements and driving down costs. It will strive to make further advances in Digital Manufacture by linking the DES system to real time data from Safran’s Manufacturing Execution System and key machines.
