Job description
THE PROJECT
The Edge Hotel School at the University of Essex in partnership with Constellation, is offering an exciting opportunity to a graduate with the relevant skills and knowledge to evaluate the innovative approach of the recruitment brand of a hospitality sector market leader in respect of Human Resource Management, evidencing that their approach provides benefits to people and business while embedding analytical people science skills into the organisation creating a toolkit of HR best practises for the hospitality sector.
This post is fixed term for 24 months and is based at the offices of Constellation in Twickenham, Greater London.
DUTIES OF THE POST
The duties of the post will include:
• To work closely with Constellation’s HR, data analytics, and senior management teams, providing insights and recommendations
based on research findings.
• To develop and implement a toolkit of HR best practices for the hospitality sector, including solutions for staff retention, wellbeing, and
career progression.
• To conduct competitor analysis and brand proposition assessments to evaluate and benchmark Constellation’s HR strategy against
industry standards.
• To audit Constellation’s Human Resources Information System (HRIS) and support the integration of data analytics and people science
skills into the organisation.
• To act as project lead, to progress the project, and ensure milestones are met to a timely manner.
• To participate in academic and/or industrial conferences and other events, to disseminate and present research outcomes to the wider
community.
These duties are a guide to the work that the post holder will initially be required to undertake. They may be changed from time to time to meet changing circumstances.
KEY REQUIREMENTS
• BA / BSc in Hospitality Management / Business Management.
• MA /MSc in Hospitality Management / Business Management / Human Resources or Organisational Behaviour.
• Knowledge of, or interest in, the hospitality sector.
• Excellent data analysis skills.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to communicate and present in a multitude of ways.
• Ability to manage expectations in a complex multi-partner project.
• Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team.
• Excellent budget management and project management skills.
• Excellent command of written and spoken English.
