Main Responsibilities

The main responsibilities for our Robotic Automation System Engineer KTP Associate will be to:

Spearhead the development, creation and delivery of an innovative process automation solution, working in a light electronics and engineering environment.
Stay abreast of emerging practices and methodologies in AI, robotics, coding and ML through continuous research, integrating newfound knowledge into project workflows.
Leading a collaborative team to tackle the delivery challenges.
Leading the governance of meetings and actively participate with clients to develop ideas and design instructional methodologies that support client goals and learning objectives.
Provide technical leadership in team meetings and contributing to design ideas.
Research and gain familiarity with existing company and competitor solutions.
Installation and Setup of demonstrations as requested.
To undertake appropriate professional development and mandatory training activities as identified or required (See Professional Development section).
Embrace a commitment to minimizing environmental impact in all aspects of the role’s performance, actively supporting the University’s Environmental Sustainability Policy.
Fulfil any additional duties as reasonably required, contributing to the overall success and growth of the team and organization.

Project description

The project aims to innovate a core business process for TMT First, who are a leading mobile device repair and service business. The intent of the project is to automate the cosmetic grading and quality assurance processes for the 250,000 mobile phones per year that have been processed or repaired annually by TMT First. Specific impacts encompass automated inspection and testing, simplified documentation and reporting, and increased compliance and standardization through adherence to industry guidelines.
