KTP Finishing Associate (Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) Application Engineer)

With support from the company and academic team, you will:

• Undertake a situational analysis of PSI Global’s business model, capability and full sector review.
• Research and understand key technologies and concepts, including CFD modelling development, Data analysis techniques, Computer-Aided Design (CAD), Finite Element Method (FEM)
• Review the work already undertaken by KTP Associate 1
• Work with academic and company supervisors to develop an action plant to complete outstanding work activity connected to I,II & III above.
• Undertake staff training and knowledge embedding.
• Support the subsequent commercialisation and roll-out strategy.
• Project manage the delivery of the remaining Knowledge Transfer Partnership work plan tasks.
• Support the co-author and present academic papers as the output of the study to relevant journals/conferences (if appropriate to do so)
• Contribute to KTP evaluation and final reports.
• Adhere to the University’s Health and Safety Policy and guidelines.
• Promote Equality and Diversity for staff and students.
• Any other reasonable duties that may be allocated from time to time commensurate with the grading of the post.

This KTP is to finish off the validation and implementation of a Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) integrated model to accurately predict the fluid flow of air/oil in PSI Global Ltd’s separation products to optimise the efficiency and performance of compressor & vacuum pumps in the market place. The remaining time on the KTP is 11 months.
