Job description
With support from the company and academic team, you will:
- Undertake a situational analysis of PSI Global’s business model, capability and full sector review.
- Research and understand key technologies and concepts, including CFD modelling development, Data analysis techniques, Computer-Aided Design (CAD), Finite Element Method (FEM)
- Review the work already undertaken by KTP Associate 1
- Work with academic and company supervisors to develop an action plant to complete outstanding work activity connected to I,II & III above.
- Undertake staff training and knowledge embedding.
- Support the subsequent commercialisation and roll-out strategy.
- Project manage the delivery of the remaining Knowledge Transfer Partnership work plan tasks.
- Support the co-author and present academic papers as the output of the study to relevant journals/conferences (if appropriate to do so)
- Contribute to KTP evaluation and final reports.
- Adhere to the University’s Health and Safety Policy and guidelines.
- Promote Equality and Diversity for staff and students.
- Any other reasonable duties that may be allocated from time to time commensurate with the grading of the post.
Project description
This KTP is to finish off the validation and implementation of a Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) integrated model to accurately predict the fluid flow of air/oil in PSI Global Ltd’s separation products to optimise the efficiency and performance of compressor & vacuum pumps in the market place. The remaining time on the KTP is 11 months.
