Polymer Materials Engineer (KTP Associate)

The University of Bristol wishes to recruit a highly skilled & qualified graduate / post-graduate to lead and deliver a Knowledge Transfer Partnership (KTP) with Tods Technology. Tods is a world-leading designer and manufacturer of advanced composite structures for the marine defence industry that is situated on the Isle of Portland located on Dorset’s beautiful Jurassic Coast.

The KTP includes a £4,000 training budget with 10% of your time dedicated to your personal development. You will have access to a pension scheme with generous employer contributions.

The successful applicant will have:

• Eligibility to obtain M.O.D. Security Clearance (SC).
• British passport holder with 5 years of continuous UK residency.
• Higher degree in either Engineering or Chemistry (PhD preferred).
• Strong chemical formulation skills.
• Strong background in chemical or physical sciences or polymer engineering.
• Ability to work with molecular modelling packages is highly desirable.

The KTP project will develop a new process for designing and manufacturing advanced polymer materials for the marine defence sector.
